Law Society vs LSA - Another big score for our super fifteen

London South Africa RFC (LSA) played a dynamic game against Law Society on Saturday, which resulted in a 69-0 away win, to finish the regular season in second place in Surrey Division One.

The game was their last of the season and even though the heat made for less than ideal playing conditions, their desire to end on a high was a major contributor to their continued winning streak.

The game did prove intense and physical, and LSA focused heavily on discipline and playing to their practised pattern and structure. Outstanding teamwork resulted in a 29-0 lead at half time and a 69-0 win at full time.

Coach Bob Crooks commented proudly afterwards, “the team have been a pleasure to coach. They have progressed tremendously as a team over the 2nd half of this season. It is as a result of the improved team morale and their passion to succeed that we are in a position of strength”.

Man of the match was shared this week between Malcolm Mirfin, once again for his quick running and ability to penetrate defence and Gerrie Kruger, for his excellent scrummaging.

But the season isn’t over yet… LSA are continuing preparations ahead of the crucial play-off for promotion into the London Leagues on Saturday 28th April. Victory will result in LSA starting next season in the London & South-East Division. All supporters of the club are encouraged to come and cheer for the team, in what is yet another important milestone of the club’s history.
