Warriors crush London 2 opposition.......

This weekend’s game saw London South Africa play their quarter-final of the Wimbledon Cup - and they romped home. LSA looked to have a stern test on their hands but the exiles rose to the challenge superbly. With nine tries and a superb kicking display by Matt Fendick meant that Guilford never stood a chance- and with the Warriors’ defence limiting the away side to twelve points it proved to be a good day for the form book as LSA seek to maintain their 100% competition winning record that began two years ago. The pack as led from the front, with Gerry Kruger, Werner Swanepeol and Brian Thiart dominant in the front row. Backed up by some good line-out work by Hugo Baldwin, and the driving force of Christian van Rooyen, Guilford were torn to ribbons up front- allowing the backs to play freely. With what could have been the half-backs’ game of the season, the home side put in a fantastic attacking display- and with Malcolm Mirfin looking to be back at his best, this win is surely a good omen for the rest of the season.
